Send only what we're working on

The slide for an optic cut or slide milling. The frame for stippling. The slide and barrel for porting. The barrel for barrel work. The whole pistol only for full customization or when we ask for it. Slides and barrels on their own aren't firearms; a frame or a complete pistol is, and has stricter shipping rules.

Ship everything unloaded, with no magazines and no ammunition.

Packing

• A sturdy box with padding so nothing moves. A hard case inside the box is fine; a case on its own isn't a shipping box.
• Nothing on the outside of the box that says what's inside.
• Put a printed copy of your intake form, or a note with your order number, name and phone, inside the box.
• Keep optics, lights and lasers at home unless the work needs them. If you do send one, list it on the intake form.

Carriers

• Slides, barrels and small parts can go with any carrier, including USPS.
• A frame or a complete pistol can't be mailed by USPS by someone who isn't licensed. Ship it with UPS or FedEx, from a staffed counter, and tell them it's a firearm going to a licensed gunsmith for repair. They may require overnight service for handguns.
• Buy insurance for the full value and keep the tracking number. Add it to your intake form.

Carrier and state rules change. If you're unsure, ask the carrier at the counter or ask us before you ship.

What we send back

We return your parts or firearm to you, to the address on your order, with the return shipping you chose when you booked. You'll get the tracking number by email. Anything you didn't send for work comes back exactly as it arrived.

Fill this in before you ship so we can match the box to your order. Print the confirmation, or write your order number on a note, and put it in the box.
