Glock slide build parts checklist

By The Button Land Customs shop, machinists and gunsmiths

To finish a stripped Glock slide you need a barrel and recoil spring assembly for your model, an upper parts kit for the internals (firing pin assembly, firing pin safety, extractor and plunger parts), a back plate, and sights or an optic with screws. Match every part to your slide's model and generation.

What does a stripped slide come with?

Nothing inside. A stripped slide is the machined slide on its own, so you add every internal part, the barrel and the recoil spring before it will run. Our custom slides ship stripped, so this is the list for finishing one of ours too.

Our upper parts kits: Glock 19 Upper Parts Kit ($65, also fits polymer 80 builds).

How do you pick the barrel?

Match the barrel to the slide's model: Glock 19 to Glock 19. Choose threaded if you'll run a compensator or suppressor, where that's legal for you. Every barrel we list names the model it fits.

Is there a quicker way?

Yes. Slide pages offer a build kit (slide, upper parts kit and barrel) you can add to your cart at once. Want us to put it together? Full pistol customization covers a complete job on your Glock.

Glock slide build parts checklist questions

What parts do I need to finish a stripped Glock slide?

A barrel and a recoil spring assembly for your model, plus the slide's internal parts: the firing pin assembly with its spring, spacer sleeve and spring cups, the firing pin safety and spring, the extractor and its plunger parts, a back plate, and sights or an optic. An upper parts kit covers the internals.

Does a Glock 19 upper parts kit fit a Polymer 80 build?

Our Glock 19 Upper Parts Kit is listed for the Glock 19 and also fits Polymer 80 builds, at $65. The upper kit goes in the slide, so what matters is that your slide is a Glock 19 pattern. Your frame needs its own lower parts kit.

Which barrel do I need for a Glock 19 slide?

A Glock 19 barrel. The barrel has to match the slide's model, and threaded barrels stick out past the slide for a compensator or suppressor. We carry 16 Glock 19 barrels; every listing names the model it fits. Pair it with the recoil spring assembly made for your slide's model and generation.

Do your slides come with the internal parts installed?

No. Our custom slides ship stripped: the machined slide on its own, with no barrel, recoil spring or internal parts. Our slide pages offer a build kit with an upper parts kit and a barrel for that model, so you can order everything to finish the slide at once. Questions about a specific slide?
